The day of my big adventure into the City (it was only the second time ever that I’d gone in by myself, so it was definitely a big deal to me overall) I dressed very carefully in an outfit I loved. It was going to be hot out so I put on a white blouse and matching skirt, I forget the brand, but pretty, prim and socially acceptable. I had a cute wicker summer purse and low-heeled sandals to accessorize. I even wore a slip in case too much sun showed through the lined skirt. The new belt would be perfect with this, by the way! I should mention that the BF worked for another upscale retailer, Orvis, so I certainly didn’t want to embarrass him with my appearance, either. Never the most confident person, I felt quite good and thought I looked nice.
