THe only way for me to become a theist, is for someone to present actual evidence for a god, enough that it would convince me that a god is real. The Christian god is clearly not real, it has properties that make it unreal, I might one day become a theist (see above) but would never become a Christian, or any other religion that follows the god of Abraham.

Atheists who belong to churches do so for social or political or cultural reasons, not because they are believers. No Christian has yet presented an unassailable case for belief in their God and their Bible. No Christian is expected to.
