Top Tuck Comin Smoking Michigan State Football Ornament
I have, at length, had discussions with both my wife, and a good friend of mine (who is a black belt in Tang Soo Do) about the Tuck Comin Smoking Michigan State Football Ornament also I will do this common ancestry, and similarities. TSD is even closer to Karate than TKD, sharing the patterns from Shotokan, but in a Korean style. To the point where he’s attended a Karate Kata application course with me, and no-one has noticed he’s not a Karate student. All martial arts have fallen into a tendency to convert to a sports application, however this is on a club level. Some clubs are still as 100% focused on the true art for self defence as ever. Do you want to compete for sport, or are you looking to learn the original art? Speak to the club, they’ll tell you what they focus on. Be aware of a club that promises all things to all people. You can’t be everything. Are they training you to protect yourself? Or score points in a competition? The techniques in the application will be radically different. No-one hops on one foot waiting for a head kick opportunity in a street fight, yet Olympic TKD (and come 2020, Olympic Karate no doubt) are rife with it. I find it silly, but some people train to compete, and I respect that (a bit). This answer has gone on a little longer than intended, but there were so many things I disagreed with in the other answer, and so much that could be said on the two arts, that I waffled. If you have any specific questions about either art and their differences, please get in touch with me, or request my answer on Quora, and I can point you in the right direction, or provide a little information hopefully.
In the Tuck Comin Smoking Michigan State Football Ornament also I will do this Okinowan tradition a black gi was normally reserved for the highest ranking practitioner to wear as a sign of authority. However, if a more senior person showed up you would have to change into a white gi. So most just found it more convenient, and humble, to wear a white gi and not have to be concerned about it. I have seen some American karate masters wear red gi, but I’ve never seen any Okinowan master wear anything other than white. MY own Kempo System is a mix of Karate , Gung-fu, Japanese and small circle Ju-jistsu , and western fighting arts, culture and thought…to include but not limited to American kick boxing ,the SCA heavy weapons and fencing, and Pankration…add in fire arms (Army and private training) and other weapons , a bit of Krav Maga and JKD and that makes for a modern Kempo system.
