After some time patience is lost and people start squeezing past her, at which point she clucks and loudly pronounces “these french are SO rude!!” As I was squeezing past I said “we aren’t all french, and I’d recommend if you’re going to be this rude, be aware nearly everyone speaks English. And by the way, standing in an aisle when people are rushing for a connection is VERY rude!!” I was craning my neck round as I was saying this all as I rushed past to make the flight but I heard a couple of “quite right” and “bloody tell her” as we were moving on so I hope she felt chastised.
