But with the bulkiness of my cloth diapers and the constant crinkly noise of my plastic pants I looked and sounded like someone trying to hide their diapers under a pair of pants! I continued like this until I was probably in the 10th grade. As embarrassing as it was to still have my mom changing my diapers at that age, I began to realize how much more at ease I felt in them, especially at night. The thickness actually felt comfortable and though the puffiness made me look a little silly (I never was allowed pants or pajamas at home) I was treated differently and I liked that too. One day before school when I was not undergoing diaper punishment, I felt uncomfortable getting dressed in my underwear and smaller, regular pants. I went to my mother and asked her, “Mommy (she insisted I always call her that when diapered), do you think it would be okay if you put my diaper on for school today?” I know I was blushing. She grinned, gave me a little hug, and said of course it was fine. She said she missed taking care of her little one, took my hand and led me back to my bedroom. I was so excited I think I wet my tighty whities just a little bit. She had me lay down on my bed and slipped my underwear off. She said, noticing their wetness, “I think you belong in diapers now all the time anyway, you little stinker.” That was one of her pet names for me. Let me tell you, I was one happy little stinker.
