The only time I wore something over my diaper was if we were going somewhere, and back in the late 60’s, short shorts did not cover much. I wore diapers to my grandma’s but once the first diaper change was had, no more shorts. I was left like the other real babies, in a diaper and t-shirt. At home that was all I would have on unless it was girls clothes. When my mom wanted me out of the house, I was sent out in just diapers and t -shirt. It got to where it did not bother me being seen like that. After all, the embarrassment and humiliation stops after a while being dressed like that. I was taken to the grocery store like that many times by my mom. I would have thought it would embarrass he too much but it did not seem to phase her at all.

If I had to go to the store with my mom, that’s all I wore. Sometimes my mom would also have me in some plastic pants. The plastic pants all had baby designs on them and girlie designs. But after awhile I got use to those designs. I had to play outside wearing just the diaper. Yes my friends would see me wearing only the diaper and yes they would tease me. Yes still today I wear diapers. Not the adult ones, but Pampers size 7 or Huggies Good Nites. And yes I use them just like they were meant to be used. When I was a kid, if it was really hot I’d sometimes be outside in just my bulky cloth diapers and plastic baby pants. I even remember a few times even as a young teen tooling around in my colorful big wheels tricycle in just my diapers and baby pants. And sure, it was always fun.
