The only wear and tear visible is a paint spot on the sleeve that I didn’t notice before it set. The color hasn’t faded, the stitching on the embroidery hasn’t come undone and while my size has certainly changed over the years, the sweatshirts hasn’t shrunk. The knit binding at the collar and the cuffs hasn’t stretched out or unraveled. I wash it on cold, (other than towels and sheets I wash everything on cold) and toss it into the dryer. It’s a sweatshirt, I don’t take special care of it. It was seriously expensive at the time, but if I figure the cost per wearing, over 19 years it’s about $.03 per wearing. That’s why I like Ralph Lauren. My few other Ralph Lauren items have worn equally as well.
