And a lot of men wear Bermuda shorts year around that show their legs. Few women wear perms, something popular back when. Seeing people all but glued to their telephones came as a shock. From a distance I saw three guys in a circle, talking I thought. When I got closer I saw each was on a phone. I saw a teenage boy and girl together, on a date I thought. When I got close I saw that they were talking on their individual telephones. Eating fast. In penal facilities prisoners are sent to eat from their cellhouse or dorm. In the mess hall (aka prisoner dinning room), they get in line to get their trays and set down. They eat fast because kitchen staff hurry everyone so they can get the next shelter’s prisoners in. When I got out I found that I ate at prison speed, and when done would look up and people would be staring at me as if I must have been starved and gobbled my food down. Just a bunch of little things.
