I mention this only because i had always worked a good job before prison. I was acustom to making decent money from skilled labor or craftmanship. I was careful not to pick up the slang as much as possible while in there too. I think that helped me a lot i used every benefit program the state and county had available i qualified for and used them to my fullest. If the state was going to offer me help to find a better job i accepted the assistance. Help writing a resume . you bet . even though i was already working , fuck yeah, i always knew and still believe you are more likely to be hired for a job you want when you are already working one you dont want !

If you’re working the shittiest job around and been there for a couple months , you are looking like a better candiate than the one with more experience than you the one without felonies, the one who is broke and too proud to get a tempoary job too proud to swallow pride the one who now looks as if he has a shitty attitude while you are happy as a jesus freak just to be out of prison and working…you got an edge with that handicap …use it .
